We are currently offering you a position as a

FPGA Developer (m/f/d)

in Munich

Your tasks with the team:

• Design, develop, and simulate FPGA modules, ensuring functionality, performance, and reliability

• Implement FPGA firmware for in-house hardware designs, following best practices for maintainability and scalability

• Contribute to the development of FPGA-based assemblies, including component selection and evaluation, schematic design and review, and definition and validation of layout constraints

• Collaborate across disciplines (hardware, software, and system engineering) to integrate and validate assemblies and FPGA configurations

• Perform system-level testing, debugging, and optimization of FPGA designs and hardware platforms

• Ensure compliance with defined development processes, covering module specification, architecture design, implementation, verification, integration, and review

• Create and maintain clear technical documentation for developed modules, interfaces, and test procedures

• Support continuous improvement of design methodologies, workflows, and verification strategies

We would be delighted if you bring the following with you:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with 5+ years of experience in FPGA design and programming

• Experience with Altera or Xilinx FPGA devices and related tools (Quartus or Vivado)

• Proficiency in VHDL

• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.

• Experience with simulation tools such as ModelSim (or equivalent)

• Solid understanding of FPGA design flows, including synthesis, place & route, timing closure, and debugging

• Experience with debugging tools such as logic analyzers (e.g., SignalTap, Chipscope/ILA)

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as in a multidisciplinary team

• Good communication skills and a structured, process-oriented way of working

• Fluent English required
